I'm Rose, owner of Mana Studio (formerly Plant Baybe) located on the beautiful island of Alameda located in the Bay Area in Northern California.

​

In 2021, I originally opened up our space on Lincoln Ave as a plant shop specializing in tropical plants from around the world and gifts created by local makers. We also extended our space to other local small businesses and creators for workshops and pop-ups. 

​

Fast forward a couple years later I introduced permanent jewelry to our space and then shortly after in May of 2023, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child. In the following months, I also began expanding my knowledge in breeding plants.

​

With the rest of the year flying by and us wanting to prioritize what would be best for our growing family, I found myself spending more time growing and shipping plants all across the US.

​

In January of 2024 I made the decision to move the plant side of our business 100% online so that I would have the flexibility to work from home permanently as we approached our due date.

​

However, the love and support we have received from our customers and growing local community over the years made it difficult to fully give up our physical space. Instead, I decided to update our concept and transition to a permanent jewelry studio that would also operate as a small event space.

​

My husband and I have always been huge on being a part of and supporting our community. And we are extremely excited that we will have the ability going forward to extend the space to more individuals who are looking for an intimate space for their next meeting, host workshops, classes and more.
